Welcome to
Wendy's Wonders

Hi, I am Wendy, I am a teacher of Dance , a Nutritional therapist, Life coach, personal trainer and self-confessed chocoholic (but that one we won’t go into now).
I love life and love living it, thriving on a positive mindset and a deep set energy.

I have danced since I was very young and have enjoyed every moment of performing and teaching, forever grateful for this marvellous art form and what it has given me. It’s been my gift that I have always shared and I intend to continue to share it with as many as I can for as long as I am able.

I have been practising as a Natural Health coach for many years now and each year brings with it new clients and new experiences, as every client and their health/life issue is as unique as their DNA.

I am a total advocate of good, healthy food, the right balance of exercise, and a generous dose of laughter.

There’s no two ways about it, exercise should be fun. After all, the only exercise you will truly stick to, is the one you enjoy.

Every form of exercise I teach is aimed at helping you maintain an ease of movement in order to keep mobile, flexible and as pain free as possible. The exercise is achievable, can be built upon and is always delivered with a light hearted approach that encourages laughter and enjoyment. My theory being the more you enjoy it, the more you will want to do it!
Exercise can increase our energy, lift our mood, improve muscle strength (remember our heart is a muscle too), burn excess fat, promote better sleep and give us a sense of achievement, so it is worth indulging in.

Line Dance Classes
My Line dance classes are run in a simple format, with not too many complicated moves, twists or turns, yet with plenty of fitness benefits and oodles of laughter. Sounds good to you? That’s because these boot scootin’ classes are.

After a dance career that has spanned over fifty years, I love nothing more than to choreograph, and many of the dances we enjoy I choreograph in order to fit like a glove to my classes. So it works well and, as a result, is a good workout too.

All exercise requires a small element of learning - just thought I should drop that in - after all it is important to keep our brain cells exercised too; however, being foot perfect isn’t the basis of my classes. Joining in, feeling relaxed and not under scrutiny is. It’s about being you, as you are, joining me and improving your physical and emotional health as you do.

Add in the therapy of some wonderful feel good tunes and you will walk away from class with a spring in your step and smile in your heart.

Some of my classes are designed for the over 55s and are slower, yet the dances and steps are still all there, as is the fun.

My daytime classes have a tea/coffee time attached too which is optional to attend but offers some lovely social time.

As additional extras, should you wish, but there is never any pressure on, we perform in care homes, at fetes and even flashmob every now and then!

Every few months I run Line Dance fests where my classes come together for an afternoon, dancing, eating, laughing and socialising.

We go on trips - all optional - and I do my best to always provide something to look forward to as life can throw us challenges so it’s good to have something fun on the horizon.

It’s never all about the dance, however it is the dance that brings us together.

Yeee ha!! Birthdays, group events, team building events, whatever your event, Line Dancing is a crowd pleaser. You don’t need a partner and it is easy to learn the basic steps and some great dances, all instructed with my usual fun approach. It won’t take long for your event to be off to a fabulous start with plenty of toe tapping, thigh slapping, cowboy hustling fun and frolics.

Seated dance classes for private groups.

My seated dance classes come with the same feel good factor, upbeat music and choreographed routines, all taught with love and delivered with laughter. These classes are particularly helpful for mental health groups, those who find standing exercise too challenging, care homes and residential homes.

One to one personal training

I offer one to one personal training to help you shape up and get fit. However I specialise in the ‘not so fit’ world of budding athletes such as those new to exercise, are shy of exercise or those who require exercise therapy

It is my goal to inspire you to move because your body thrives on movement.
You are a lean, mean, movement machine, even if your body and mind don’t believe it!
It is healthy to exercise in moderation. Too much exercise can cause unnecessary stress to your body, which in turn can cause ill health, so there is no need to go mad exercising for hours at a time. The good news is, you can get fit, and stay fit, with short bursts of correct exercise.
That’s why my Personal Training programs are short and sweet, designed to fit you and into your life.

Health and/or Fitness Coaching.

I am a qualified Nutritional Therapist, Life Coach, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, and Neuro Linguistic Programmer. I rarely offer these as a single therapy as I find it more useful to combine my disciplines to enhance health and fitness for my clients.

Many of us struggle to find a way forward with our health/life niggles because we are confused as to what path to follow.
As a Health and Fitness Coach I can help you to take out the confusion.

I listen to you in order to understand where you are right now in life, so we can improve your current situation and therefore your quality of life - through the food you eat, the way you think and the lifestyle you lead.
I share my vast nutrition and coaching knowledge with you, and develop your unique Plan so you can take control of your worries; be that weight loss, digestive discomfort, hormone management, stress, mood, memory, work/life balance etc.
I coach you forward.

What does that mean? Well, all the information in the world is grand; however, if nobody helps you to understand it and integrate it into your life, it’s pretty useless!
I am a supportive mentor, a Jiminy Cricket in cheerleading gear, who will gently encourage changes to support your values and fit in with your life.

I will inspire you to keep going in a positive direction, while you implement new beneficial habits. I will be there to guide you around any obstacles until you see results and feel in control.
You may need a gentle nudge, or a large shove, in the right direction and you probably require some good, easy to understand information/advice. However, what you need, most of all, is someone on your side – and that someone could be me.
